Climate and Nature

Serbia experiences a moderate continental climate with warm summers and cold, snowy winters, particularly across its mountain ranges. The geography ranges from flat, fertile agricultural plains in Vojvodina to dramatic southern and western mountains, deep river gorges, and major waterways including the Danube, Sava, and Drina rivers.

Culture and Gastronomy

Serbian culture is a rich synthesis of Byzantine, Balkan, and Central European traditions. Generous hospitality defines social life. Gastronomy is hearty and flavorful, with iconic dishes such as Ćevapi, Pljeskavica (spiced patty), Gibanica (cheese pie), and Sarma, traditionally accompanied by fruit brandy (Rakiya / Šljivovica).

Economy

Serbia has a rapidly growing market economy in the Western Balkans. Key industrial sectors include automotive manufacturing, metallurgy, machinery, chemicals, and a booming information technology sector. Agriculture (particularly fruit exports) and energy production also form key pillars of the economy.
