Climate and Nature

Cambodia experiences a tropical monsoon climate with warm temperatures year-round, divided into a dry season (November to April) and a rainy season (May to October). The geography features central floodplains dominated by Tonlé Sap Lake and the Mekong River, flanked by the Cardamom Mountains and southern tropical beaches.

Culture and Gastronomy

Cambodian culture is deeply anchored in Theravada Buddhism and the heritage of the historic Khmer Empire, celebrated through traditional Apsara dance performance. Khmer gastronomy emphasizes delicate, aromatic flavors. Iconic dishes include Fish Amok (steamed fish curry in banana leaf), Lap Khmer (spicy beef salad), Kuy Teav (noodle soup), and Kampot pepper stir-fries.

Economy

Cambodia's economy is growing rapidly, propelled by garment manufacturing, agriculture (primarily premium rice exports and rubber), and construction. Heritage tourism centered around the ancient temples of Angkor and tropical beach resorts serves as a major foreign revenue engine.
