Climate and Nature

Armenia experiences a continental highland climate with hot, sunny summers and cold, snowy winters. Mountainous terrain defines the country, situated at an average elevation exceeding 1,800 meters. Geography features rugged ranges, deep river gorges, volcanic plateaus, the expansive alpine Lake Sevan, and forests in Dilijan.

Culture and Gastronomy

Armenia takes pride in its ancient Christian heritage and artistic traditions, including Duduk wind music and carved Khachkar stone crosses. Gastronomy focuses on fresh, herbs-infused ingredients. Signature dishes include Lavash (traditional thin flatbread), Khorovats (grilled meat skewers), Ghapama (stuffed pumpkin), and brandy.

Economy

The Armenian economy relies on mining (extracting copper, gold, and molybdenum), agriculture, viticulture, and a rapidly expanding information technology sector. Remittances from the global Armenian diaspora alongside expanding cultural tourism serve as key pillars of development.
